GATE 2016About GATE: GATE Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an national level test for testing comprehensive understanding of the applied applicant in following subjects Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Science subject of under graduate and post graduate levels.

The GATE has administrated by the collaboration of The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at

Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on the behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. For admissions into Post graduate programs e.g., M.E, M.Tech and Direct Ph.D under private and government higher education institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE

The applicant must have any of one degree from the following which are given below:-

B.E./B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm from a recognized university or institute.

B.S (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2) from a recognized university or institute.

M.Sc./M.A./ MCA or equivalent from a recognized university or institute.

Int. M.E/ M.Tech (Post BSc) (Four year programme) from a recognized university or institute.

Integrated M.E./M.Tech or 5 year Dual Degree from a recognized university or institute.

Integrated M. Sc/ Integrated 5 year B.S.-M.S. from a recognized university or institute.

B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch) from a recognized university or institute.

How to apply for GATE 2015

The applicant who want to register themselves for GATE 2016 have to do registration online for GATE by approaching official website of GATE.

The applicants registered themselves for GATE through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Visit the authorized site of GATE -www.gate.iisc.ernet.in to do your registration fill the required information personal details, qualification details and upload their photograph, signature and other required documents and after the application form filling move ahead to application you may submit your application fee through Net Banking, Debit card or E-challan. Submit Application Fees and take a print out of the Application after submitting the Application Form.

The interested applicants may apply for GATE 2016 from 1st of September 2015 to 01st of October 2015.

GATE 2016 Application fee/Exam Fee

For Gen/OBC Male applicants application fee will be Rs 1500/-

For Women/SC/ST/PWD applicants application fee will be Rs 750/-
